Listening, Prioritising, Evolving : Our Materiality Assessment

At Q Collection, sustainability is not a checkbox - it is an ongoing journey of listening, refining, and taking meaningful action. As part of this commitment, we have completed our first materiality assessment - a foundational step in aligning our sustainability strategy with what truly matters to our business, our people, and the world we touch.

Materiality assessments help identify and prioritize the most relevant environmental, social, and governance (ESG) topics by capturing insights from those across our value chain - employees, customers, suppliers, and partners. Through an online survey and industry benchmarking, we gained valuable clarity on where our sustainability efforts can drive the greatest impact.

This process also grounds our inaugural sustainability report, Uncut Cloth: The Raw Truth of OurSustainability Journey, ensuring our disclosures are not only transparent but also driven by what stakeholders care about most.

What We Found

Our assessment revealed that social issues are the most critical for Q Collection - particularly those around labour rights, health and safety, ethical employment, and worker wellbeing. Topics such as no child labour, occupational health and safety, and fair wages emerged as top priorities.

Closely following are environmental issues around resource and material efficiency - including energy efficiency, chemical management, and water stewardship.

On the governance front, key priorities include business ethics, information security, and transparency - all vital for upholding trust and accountability.

Why It Matters

This assessment is not just about reporting - it is about direction. It gives us a clear roadmap to focus our efforts, mitigate emerging risks, and spot opportunities that deliver lasting value for our business, people, and planet. It also creates a baseline to measure our progress and inform future decisions.

As we grow, we will revisit this assessment regularly to ensure we stay in step with shifting expectations and global challenges. It is one of the many ways we are ensuring that sustainability at Q Collection is not just spoken - it is deeply lived.
