While we continue to expand our global manufacturing footprint, we are equally proud to share that Q’s second-generation leaders are stepping up to drive our global ambitions with fresh perspective and bold conviction. Their involvement in executive roles marks a new chapter in our Journey of Excellence - one that reflects our readiness for long-term success.
We are therefore excited to share the following announcements, effective immediately:
Boutaina Faruq, Director, has been nominated to lead the business of Q Nessaj in Morocco, in addition to her ongoing responsibilities with Q Collection UK. Q Nessaj is being strategically established not only to broaden our knitwear product offerings and customer-base, but also to leverage Morocco’s unique advantages in delivering a compelling value proposition.
Boutaina’s nomination underpins a significant strategic step for the Group. In addition to overseeing the overall business at Q Nessaj, she will play a key role in driving product development, integrating advanced technologies, and fostering partnership with key customers.
At the same time, we are thrilled to announce that Amira Faruq, Director, is taking on an expanded leadership role by spearheading the business of our recently acquired entities in Sri Lanka. This acquisition represents a transformative shift in our underwear manufacturing capabilities. More than just a move to reduce our reliance on a single country, it reflects a well-timed decision to build on solid foundations and harness Sri Lanka’s renowned expertise in high-end, ethical apparel manufacturing - particularly in the underwear segment.
Amira’s expanded role is a critical part of Q Collection’s long-term strategy. In addition to overseeing current operations in Sri Lanka, she will continue to play a key role in scaling our presence there in establishing the next frontier of our offshore manufacturing.
Please join us in congratulating Boutaina and Amira, and in wishing them every success in their expanded responsibilities.
